Monk started in our family garage

Monk started in our family garage, roasting coffee for ourselves, our friends, and anyone curious enough to try it.

Today, we roast a little more coffee than we did back then, but the process hasn't changed much. Every batch is roasted by us, with each coffee treated as an individual rather than forced into a fixed style.

Some coffees are roasted for comforting espresso, others for clean, expressive filter brews. The approach always starts with the coffee itself.
